Default Best way to share a sheet?

I'm going to make a sheet that has simple data row by row. The file would be
shared among 5 users. I've heard about problems with the Shared Workbook
property so I won't use it.

What is the best way to share this file? It should be possible for all to
access the file at the same time and change the data.

At this point I've thought using 2 separate workbooks; a "display workbook"
and the "database workbook". There would be a pivot table on the display wb,
which shows data from the db wb.

I'm not very advanced with excel so if you can't give me straight answers,
please tell at least some directions to follow..
Thanks!
