how to restore link in the formula via file saved from emails
My users updated their info on my files and emailed them back to me, I saved
them to the same folder, but the link in the new files are not linked to my original master file any more. They are linked from temparary location. Is there a way to change back to the original link? |

Go to EditLinks and change the source back to your orignal master file path.

I have the links in a large area within various tabs from different tabs in

Not sure what you are asking.
You have one workbook with multi-sheets linked to multi-sheets in more than one workbook in a folder on your computer? You sent out the workbooks and the edited workbooks were emailed back to you and you Saved As into a folder on your computer? The links all point to a temporary folder on your computer? Select any sheet and hit EditLinks. You will see a list of workbooks you are linked to. Select one of those and "Change Source". Browse to original folder location and double-click that file in that folder. You will have to do this for each workbook you are linked to.
