Default Why number 8 turns into a 0?

When I type a 16-digit number in a cell, and the last digit is "8", the
number becomes a "0". I changed the formatting of the cells and still
continues to make "8" a "0". Thanks,

Hi Ricardo,

Excel's precision is 15 decimal digits.
If you need more (probably as an identifier, like a credit card number), Format the cell as Text *before* you enter the number, or
precede the number with an apostrophe (which will not show).
You can't calculate with a "number" like that

Ricardo

You have run up against Excel's 15-digit limit to significant places.

Pre-format the cells as Text or enter the numbers preceded by an apostrophe,
which won't show in the cells.
