Default how do i get the red x out of a cell

Tried everything - it will not delete even with clear contents. Someone put
it there in my spreadsheet and I dont' know what it is or where it came from.

Default how do i get the red x out of a cell

Perhaps conditional formatting is applied.

Select the cell, then go to Format--Conditional formatting and see if any
conditional formatting is applied to the cell.

If so, delete the formatting conditions, click OK and see if the red x
disappears.

Default how do i get the red x out of a cell

Try mousing over it and if the cursor changes shape, then right-click and CUT
