how do i get the red x out of a cell
Tried everything - it will not delete even with clear contents. Someone put
it there in my spreadsheet and I dont' know what it is or where it came from. |

Perhaps conditional formatting is applied.
Select the cell, then go to Format--Conditional formatting and see if any conditional formatting is applied to the cell. If so, delete the formatting conditions, click OK and see if the red x disappears. Dave -- Brevity is the soul of wit. "Layla" wrote: Tried everything - it will not delete even with clear contents. Try mousing over it and if the cursor changes shape, then right-click and CUT
