How to use year function?
What format are you using to show the date?
Is it showing as 28 June 05, or 6/28/05? Anyhow, what's happening is that the number 2006, the result of your formula: =YEAR(TODAY()), is the serial date for 28 June 1905. The result of your formula will only be a 4 digit year number. What kind of date are you expecting? Biff "Eric" wrote: Thank you for your reply I have checked the system's clock, and it is 30 Nov, 2006. =year(today()) = 2006, but when I change the format for this cell to see the date, then it shows 28-Jun, 2005. Do you have any idea on this problem? Thank you very much Eric "Teethless mama" wrote: Check your system clock to make sure you have the right Date/Time "Eric" wrote: Does anyone know why =year(today()) =6/28/05, rather than 1/30/2006? Thank you for any suggestion Eric Choi |
