Subtotals in Excel 2003 with Autofilter and Grouping
Is there a way to use subtotals where the subtotal ignores filtered
rows but includes the grouped rows? It is interesting that when you collapse the group the subtotal includes the rows but if you filter first and then collapse the group the subtotal ignores both the filtered rows and the grouped rows. thanks |

Not that I know.
After I first saw this, I decided that I'd always use one or the other--but not both. It made it easier since I didn't have to explain the problem to the manager types <vbg. bb wrote: Is there a way to use subtotals where the subtotal ignores filtered rows but includes the grouped rows? Can you think of any other way to accomplish both filters and grouping?
