Default Tool Bar lettering problems

The titles in the tool bars and also the drop down-box lettering in Excel are
in reverse order (spelled backwards)..
so "File" shows up as "Elif", etc...

Just showed up -- do I have a virus or other intruder into my system or is
ther a command that will get this back to normal?

thanks,

It sounds like an add-in is playing a joke on you. Go to the Tools menu,
choose Add-Ins, and uncheck everything. Then choose COM Add-Ins and uncheck
everything. Next, go to the View menu (or weiV menu) choose Toolbars, and
then the Customize item at the end of the list. In the dialog that is
displayed, choose the Toolbars tab, and scroll down to "Worksheet Menu Bar"
and click the Reset button.

Just to add to Chip's response...

It could be Menu Shenanigans from John Walkenbach's site:
