Default Excel. decimal convert date

when i use decimal seperator dot "." it automatically converts it to a date
entry. eg, i enter 1.5 and it converts it to 01.May. I want to disable this
feature. regards

Default Excel. decimal convert date

Excel is probably just following your Windows regional settings as it what
character is the date separator. Go into Control Panel and change it to "/"
or "-".
