How secure to supply data to user through ExcelSpreadsheet?

Here I have to create a button in .NET application and when user click on that
it brought up a Excel Spreadsheet with data. User need to save that
spreadsheet in specific folder but cannot change data in spreadsheet.
Is it possible? How?
