is it possible to number pages with letters and numbers. such as 1.a., 1.b.,
2.a etc

Maybe with some complex VBA but when would you change from 1a, 1b to 2a and not
1c?

I would just copy over to Word and print out from there.

Word has many more options when numbering pages and you could get what you want.
