Default hide rows if

I have a control form drop down list with a designated cell link. When an
item from the drop down list is selected (entering the selection in the cell
link), I need this action to hide specified rows within the form. Can this
be done with a Control form drop down list, or do I need to use Form Control,
or Data Validation for the drop down?
