Default How to make file links relative

I have to migrate to a new file server. The present file server has hundreds
of excel files with links scattered over hundreds of folders and subfolders.
During the transition I want the users to move these files to their local
machines and move to the new server once it is up. I want to make all the
file links relative so that when the files are moved from the server to
workstation the links get updated automatically and get updated again once
they are moved to the new server. How do I do that? The excel files are in
version 97 and 2000. Eventually all will be used under 2003.
