Default hiding formulas with "Grouped' columns

How do you hide formulas on a spreadsheet while maintaining the "Grouped'
columns functionality?

Not sure what you're asking. If you hide columns the cells, and therefore
the formulas, are hidden from view.

One thing doesn't really have anything to do with the other. You can group
columns whether formulas are hidden or not. And you can hide the formula bar
whether columns are grouped or not.
