Default calculate the difference between two cells

Using formula
=a1-b1

The cell only displays the formula - - not the answer.

Default calculate the difference between two cells

click on that cell

do format cells

on the number tab (the first one), click category: general, OK
(you will probably see it was formatted as text)

then double click back into your cell, and press return.
