Default Escel: Count students =20 and <=29

I am trying to use countif to count number of students whose age is greater
or equal to 20 but less than or equal to 29. Can this be done? Is countif
the correct formula? Please answer.

Something like:

=COUNTIF(Ages,"=20") - COUNTIF(Ages,"29")
