I have been using excel for some time, but today my copy and paste functions
will not work. Any ideas?

I've tried a shut down & restart
I've tried tools - options - edit

Provide more details. Are the Copy and Paste grayed out? Exactly what are

I somehow managed to get it to work just now by playing with the clipboard
options - thanks

I am having sort of same problem. I have a workbook with seven sheets. I can
copy and paste cells in the last six sheets, but cannot copy and paste in
first sheet. The "paste" and "paste special" are greyed out in both the
right-click menu and Edit menu.
