We are considering establishing a part-time contractual arrangement
with someone who is an Excel Guru. We have a very large body of data from a data acquisition project on very complex remote Linux-based engineering prototype systems. We have establlished a method for importing the data over an SSH connection and generating daily Excel files averaging 140 columns by 22000 rows with various chart graphics displaying the data relationships. We are finding the data reduction and analysis very time consuming and difficult to maintain and need someone with the following skills: 1. Deep knowledge about the Excel computation engine 2. Experience troubleshooting Excel computational bottle-necks and resultant O/S slowdowns 3. Expert level knowledge of embedded VBA scripting withing Excel spreadsheets 4. Data compression methods 5. Knowledge of connection of Excel to direct data acquisition streams 6. Issues surrounding Excel interaction with Windows network domains Interested parties should forward a resume and client list to my attention and please include the entire subject line in the subject field of your response. Please respond only to the Beacon Power email address. Thanks - Frank Rudolph, Ph.D., P.E.
