Default filter data from multiple sources

Ok here's my question.
I want to create a workbook that will display info from other workbooks but
only if it fits the following criteria.
in the workbooks its looking at column D must have no data. if that colum
has no data it will show info in this new workbook from column A(colum A has
dates) & B. Also i need a column in this new workbook that will show how many
days have elapsed since the date in column A. is this possible? if so anyone
know how?
