Default How do I reduce the size of an exel file?

I am currently up to 80mb and am using Excel 2002. The file has multiple
users with pivot tables. It would be a huge endeavor to reset all the pivot
tables. Is there any other trick that will help reduce the size of the file?

What does the file contain and what do you mean by "multiple users with
pivot tables"?

Historical sales data. There are several users of this file in the
organization, each creating several pivot tables. We have went through and
deleted some of these and archived the old data and were able to reduce the
size about 50%

Can the users not create a pivot table in a new sheet and then move the
sheet to a new workbook?

Eselgar,

This site gives a few solutions:

http://www.ozgrid.com/Excel/ExcelProblems.htm

Also search the internet for "reduce excel file size" or "excel file size
bloat".
