Default Restoring the File option on the top Menu bar of Excel.

1) I accidentally removed the "file" button (with all its options) from the
top menu bar of Excel. How do I get it back?

2) How do I change the "Home" key button in Excel to move the cursor to the
top left of the spreadsheet, instead of to the A column of the same line?

Default Restoring the File option on the top Menu bar of Excel.

#1. Tools|Customize|Toolbars tab|select worksheet menu bar|Click Reset

#2. Tools|Options|Transition tab
Uncheck all those lotus 123 transition settings.

I misread the 2nd question.

I'd use Gary's suggestion of ctrl-home, but you could use:

#2. Tools|Options|Transition tab
check Transition navigation keys

Be aware that other things will change, too (try tabbing across the worksheet)

1) - right-click anywhere in the toolbars area at the top of Excel.
- Select 'Customize'
- Select 'Toolbars'
- make sure 'Standard' is clicked
- Select 'Close'
2) - Ctrl-Home
