Default Grey text not printing

In Excel when I change the color of the text to grey and then print to one of
several HP printers (4000, 4050, 4100, 4250) the grey text will print as
black. On the screen the text is grey, in print preview it is black.

If I change the background color of a cell to grey it prints that grey no
problem, its just the text that will not print grey.

I have tried this on about 5 diffrent PC's and the above printers. I have
tried this with Excel 2002 and Excel 2003.

I'm not sure why, but i think you will need to print to a colour printer to
print text anything other than 'Automatic' (black)
