Default What do I have to do to get access to my olde files?

I am unable to access and of my older Office files? The error message say
the files have a virus and to check with the virus verndor for a newer
program. I have installed the newest Norton Virus program available scanned
the hole machine and no virus has been detected, run scan 3 time all 3 time
it came up clean.

Verify that Norton hasn't missed something. Try going to
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
you can browse to one of the files that has been reported as containing a
virus and submit it for multiple tests using several anti-virus programs all
at once. If the file comes back clean, then we can look into them some more.

Any specific types of files? Word? Access? Excel? All of the 'above'? What
version of Office was used to create them and what version are you running
now?

Could you copy/paste the exact error message you are getting? You said that
the error message is saying that the files have a virus but to check with the
virus vendor for a newer program? That kind of confuses me.
