Merge option is not available. How to undo merge in this case?

By mistake some of the cells in my worksheet got merged. Now when i am trying
tio unmerge them, the option is not available (Is in grey and nothing happens
when i click on it)

I tried all means and methods but am unable to do anything.

Please help. Its urgent
