Default Autofilter dropdown box doesn't show all the choices in the colum

I have Autofilter turned on in Excel, but the dropdown box does not show all
the options that are listed in the column. For example, in that column i have
3 names listed... Elizabeth, Jason, and Fred. But the dropdown box on the
Autofilter only shows Elizabeth as a choice (alongwith All and Custom). How
can i filter by the names that are not listed... Jason or Fred?
