On Excel I need to round up in tens of thousands
On Excel I need to round up to tens of thousands...
e.g. 158000 to 160000 or 21500 to 30000... Does any one know this formula??? Thank You in advance |

On Excel I need to round up in tens of thousands
Normally when you round to decimal places, the item after the comma is a
positive: a "2" rounds to hundreths. But when you round on the "other side" of the decimal, you put it in as negative. -4 will take you to 10,000 place I believe. ex: =ROUND(cell_ref,-4) "Sorianop" wrote: On Excel I need to round up to tens of thousands... e.g. 158000 to 160000 or 21500 to 30000... And if you want to get really complicated, you can use this:
=IF(RIGHT(A1,4)="0000",A1,A1+(10000-RIGHT(A1,4))) But I like Aimee's solution better. Love the spelling too. Just like my daughter. Paul "Houston_Aimee" wrote in message ...
