Default Pivot Table and Text

Is it possible to have text as a result in a pivot table? For example, if I
have an employee and a supervisor and I want to link these to their
task/duties. Or maybe I have an employee with multiple jobs, each with a
different duty.

If there isn't an option in a Pivot Table, maybe somebody could recommend
something else. Thanks a lot.

You could display the text fields in the Row and Column areas, and show
a count of the records in the data area. For example, put employee and
supervisor in the row area, task in the column area, and another copy of
employee in the data area, as count of employee.
