Use Conditional Formatting. See:
http://www.contextures.com/xlCondFormat01.html -- Gary's Student " wrote: Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me as i don't know where to start! I have a column in an excel spreadsheet which is full of numbers in the format 00:00:00 (HH:MM:SS). There are alot of fields in this column!!! What i have just had to do manually is go through and change the fill colour of the cells if the value is greater than or equal to 00:20:00. If the value of the cell was above 00:30:00 then the cell must be a different colour. Less than 00:20:00 and it should be a another colour. So in total 3 colours. As the column is down to row number '4950' - you can see that this will be a very lengthy process! Is there a way to automate this process? (with a macro?) If there is can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks Matt! |
