Default how can I syncronize excel files on a network?

We have a excel file that charges out our services. Up to 4 people can use
this file and we are making changes weekly, adding new customers, changing
addresses etc. We would like to have an icon on our desktop that points to
the folder on our server this file resides and get the most updated copy each
time we use. Is this possible? Now, were are going to the file and short cut
to our desktop each time we know of someone making changes.

If the file is saved with the same name (in the same location), then the
shortcut to that drive/folder/file should still work ok.

If you really want a shortcut to the folder, just use windows explorer to go to
that drive and the folder that contains the folder you really want.

Then rightclick on the folder and choose copy.

Then to the desktop (flying windows D is one way of getting there)
rightclick|choose paste shortcut.

I don't speak the HTML, but I don't think it's possible to have a shortcut that
points to whatever is the most current file.
