Default Formula - to accumulate the number of data appear

Hi

i got some problem with excel.

My 1st spreadsheet - No of appointment
Date Status Country
--------------------------------------------------------------------
01-09-2006 Accepted ABC
01-09-2006 Accepted ABC
01-09-2006 Accepted ABC
01-09-2006 Accepted 123
01-09-2006 Accepted ABC
02-09-2006 Accepted ABC
02-09-2006 Accepted ABC

My 2nd spread sheet
Country Update

ABC 01-09-06 02-09-06
Appointment 4



Tis are roughly my spreadsheet , how am i able to count the number of
appointment on the 01-09-06 and computed on those the 2nd spreadsheet that
particular cell ??

Default Formula - to accumulate the number of data appear

Give this a try and see if it works for you.

=COUNTIF(Sheet1!A1:A6,"01-09-2006")

It looks at sheet1 at the range of cells A1 to A6, then if 01-09-2006 is in
the cell it counts only those cells.

hi tim m ,
thank alot for your help . Still got 1 more problem to clarify , if i would
like to check against the STATUS whether it is "Accepted", "To Be Confirm" ,
"Rejected" and "Pending". but i just need to display Accepted or Pending ,
other than that need not to display the row . how to i do it ?
