How can I merge cells in the same column that contain the same data. ie.
if the first 5 rows have one value, then the next 6 rows have another value and so on. The total number of the cells that need to be merged varies. I need to find an automated way of doing this as I have a lot of data to format |

Do you want to delete duplicate rows?
Do you want to lock the rows together? Is this for display or for printing? Why do you want to merge the cells? Merging cells creates a lot of other problems with later data manipulation. I prefer staying away from it as much as possible "Dom500" wrote: How can I merge cells in the same column that contain the same data. ie. if the first 5 rows have one value, then the next 6 rows have another value and so on.
