I get messages when I load Excel from Visual Basic "Compile error in hidden
module AutoExecNew" (and DistMon). I reloaded Office 2000 and still get the
message. Help!

As I recall this has something to do with a scanning package. Google for
"distmon"

See KB article http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;q307410

The PDFMaker.xla and maybe PDFMaker.dot are stored in your Office\XLSTART folder
or in the Excel\XLSTART folder.

Any files in these folders will open with Excel.

You must remove them from the XLSTART folder.

I had a like problem with Excel 2007 and Adobe Acrobat 9.
I found the answer on the ADOBE support site.

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/300033

I used #46...I made the batch file and ran it. The other replies might work
for you also.
