How do I assign a letter value to a range of data?
I want to create a column of percentage scores which will be test results for

With column of scores in A enter this in B1 and double-click to copy down.
=LOOKUP(A1,{0,50,60,70,80},{"E","D","C","B","A"}) Adjust for score ranges or more letter grades like C+, B- etc. =LOOKUP(A1,{0,31,41,51,61,71,81,91,101},{"E","D"," C-","C","C+","B","B+","A"}) Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Sat, 16 Sep 2006 08:09:01 -0700, clatters69 wrote: I want to create a column of percentage scores which will be test results for students.
