Hi,
Select 8 rows where you want to insert new column. Press Control and hit + (numerical keypad). Pop up will come. Select shift cells right. Say OK Regards, Jaleel "cj" wrote: is there any way to insert new columns just for the top 8 rows in excel, i don't want the new columns in the whole worksheet? i'm making a calendar for a vac ation planner. some help plz |

hi,
shifting cells to right didn't work, i need 7 columns for top 8 rows and only 5 columns for the rows below that.
