Default Pasting from another spreadsheet changes formatting

I'm copying data from one spreadsheet to another. When I do this, all
formatting (i.e. font color, borders, graph colors, etc.) for other tabs in
the copied to spreadsheet changes.

Any ideas on how to prevent this?

Thanks,
Ronan
