Pivot Table - Filter
When I select a drop-down to a filter row (or column) to select a value I
often see or can select values that are no longer in the datasource. Is there a way to remove these simply. only way i can figure out is to rebuild pivot report or move the value to "page" and "hide items" but this is not very good or wise any ideas -- Kevin |

when i double click on a field name, say in the column section it brings up a
box with info on the field. in older version of excel you can see all the values in this box and can manually select a value to hide it. I notice now however at home on my newer version of excel this is no longer an option. not to worry your first mail helps anyway -- Kevin "Debra Dalgleish" wrote: I'm not sure what you mean. Your newer version of Excel will still show that list if you
double-click on a page field button. In Page, Row and Column fields, you can show or hide items by checking or unchecking items in the dropdown list of items.
