Some people call me anal for doing this, but I have a personal spreadsheet
that appears to track what you want... I manage the calculation external to
the Pivot table but am still able to measure the variables... I'll forward
it to you for your review...

unfortunately I am unable to find the diffrence between one Odometer
reading and preveious reading when I tried that in the pivot table
pivottable field Options Show Data as Diffrence From Base field
Odometer base Previous this results in N/A all over the place in
the piviot table.
