I'm using Excel 2000 on Win XP.
When I open a file that is located on a network drive, and revise file and go to save it the file is changed to temp file with a different name, usually numeric. This temp files replaces the original filename. It doesn't do this for another other program and also doesn't do it if I save to the c drive. The error message reads..."changes could not be saved...but were save to a temporary document named 08ED9871. Close the existing document, then open the temporary file and rename it" When I do this it doesn't allow me to rename... Any ideas? thx in advance. |
