I'm using office 2007 and when pasting cells from excel to dreamwaver it does
not let me and says the clipboard does not contain table cells, yet in all
previous versions of excel this worked perfectly.

XL 07 files are in XML format. Might that have something to do with it?

Have you tried saving the file in XL 03 format and then copying and pasting?

the file was sent to me by someone who used a pre-2007 version of the
software, so im assuming it should already be in an 03 format

There are still lots of bugs in Excel 2007
