Is there a simple way of expressing a percentage as a ratio using excel.
I am trying to find a formula/way of converting a percentage in to a ratio, is this possible in excel or does it have to be done manually? Thanks in advance for any assistance John |

Excel doesn't have a 'ratio' format if that's what you want, but it does have
a fraction format built in, and you can specify various levels of precision so 75.5% could be shown as 3/4, 37/49, or 151/200. However this won't provide a ratio, such as 3:1 which is equal to 75%. John Walkenbach has a couple examples of how to display a simplified ratio based two values. Take a look at his website to see if it is any help: http://j-walk.com/ss/excel/usertips/tip81.htm Hopefully that will get you started, TK "John Hodgson" wrote: Is there a simple way of expressing a percentage as a ratio using excel.
