Sorting with formulas
I have 3 sheets. Here is the formula.
=SUM(InventoryOrdered!D23:CA23)-COUNTIF(InventorySold!B:B,"10-414500") This is on sheet InventoryInStock When I add another object I want to be able to sort them AtoZ and then for the cell ex:D23:CA23 to change appropriately. When I add an object I add it to InventoryOrdered and InventoryInStock that way the sheets are the same. What do I do? Also, I need laymans terms and step by step instructions. I have had no "training" in Excel and figuring this out as I go. Thank you ahead of time for your help. God Bless, Harley |

When I use the sort function it does put the list AtoZ but the formulas won't
change to the correct cell it refers to.. what do I do? "Crowraine" wrote: I have 3 sheets. Maybe you can pick out a nice key column (unique values in that column), then
use a different formula to bring stuff back. =vlookup() or =index(match()) Visit Debra Dalgleish's site: http://www.contextures.com/xlFunctions02.html and http://www.contextures.com/xlFunctions03.html for some nice instructions. Nope, that doesn't work. That is referring to static numbers which would not
change. With inventory coming in and out, the number keep changing. Refering to something just for the product info won't work. But thank you for your nice help.
