Default Sorted Columns

Could anyone please tell me if it's possible to sort on 8 columns of simple
4 digit figures randomly entered, # i.e. 7658, 1342, 9654 etc:, of course I
can sort on one very long column, but the entries are getting a bit out of
hand now. and I would like to get the figures in a more manageable 8 x 25
column format "but sorted"

Thank,

If I am reading your question correcly, you could do one of the
following:

1) Just sort the long column, then cut and paste into 8 shorter columns
next to each other.

2) Have the long column on one worksheet, sort it however you like it,
then on another worksheet (Sheet 2) have a formula in cell A1
=Sheet1!$A1, then drag that down column A for 25 rows. Then start back
at row 1 of column B (Sheet 2) =Sheet1!$A26, etc... Then you can keep
adding to the long list on Sheet 1, you should be able to sort it
whenever you want, and Sheet 2 will pull the correct number in order.
