have data arranged in alphabetic order, by county. when i run the pivot
table 2 counties are out of alphabetic order. i have checked to make sure there are no extra characters in the names (leading or trailing). the counts the table show are correct but these two counties appear at the top of the table out of order. have deleted the p-table and run 3 times with same result?? thanks reno |

You may have a custom list that contains those counties, and custom
lists are sorted first. To override this, you can select a cell in the field, and click the A-Z button on the toolbar. (if prompted, confirm manual sorting) Or, delete the custom list: Choose ToolsOptions On the Custom List tab, select a list that contains the counties Click the Delete button, and click OK reno wrote: have data arranged in alphabetic order, by county. when i run the pivot table 2 counties are out of alphabetic order. i have checked to make sure there are no extra characters in the names (leading or trailing). the counts the table show are correct but these two counties appear at the top of the table out of order. have deleted the p-table and run 3 times with same result?? -- Debra Dalgleish Contextures http://www.contextures.com/tiptech.html |
