I'm having a problem with text wrapping in a single cell. When I open up a
new Excel workbook and type in a sentence that goes past the cell width, the text appears on the screen spanning columns (as you would expect). When I format the cell and choose the Wrap Text option, the text disappears. When I highlight that cell the text displays in the formula bar. Adding an Alt-Enter to the middle or the end of the sentence makes no difference and changing the Text Alignment makes no difference. I have sent the file to other co-workers and it (both are 2003 SP2) shows the text as expected. We have reinstalled Office and this problem still occurs. |

It sounds like the row needs to be taller to fit the text. Try the Format /
Row / Autofit menu option when the cell is selected and see if that fixes it for you. (You can also click-and-drag or double-click between the row numbers to change the row height) HTH, TK "shonnahs" wrote: I'm having a problem with text wrapping in a single cell. Tried that -- it's really strange! The cell looks blank, but when you celect
the cell the info is in the staus bar or if you do a print preview you are able to see it. Thanks for you help! Shonnah "T Kirtley" wrote: It sounds like the row needs to be taller to fit the text.
