Default Problem with Excel and oracle

I am trying to do an Oracle database query via excel.
I select the Microsoft ODBC driver for oracle.
Press the connect button and enter username, pwd and server.
Click OK and all I get is a message box with an exclamation mark (!) in it.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

This sounds like a question for your IT department, not an Excel user group.
