Default Default date format

Hi,

how can I change the default date format for all new spreadsheets? right
now, if I don't designate cells a specific format (i.e. general, date,
text...) and I put in a date, it comes out as 17-AUG. I would like it to
display as 08/17 "right out of the box", so to speak.

Thanks.

Hi,

Perhaps your system date format will be dd-mmm. To change this go to
Control Panel €“ Regional and Language Options €“ Regional Options €“ Customize
€“ Date €“ Short Date Format and select MM-dd-yyy.

See if it works.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it did not work. I will post another question
in a different way.

Thanks.
