There is a setting in Excel that let's (lazy) people enter 12345 to get
123.45. It saves them entering the decimal. Sounds like your is set to give 3 decimal places. Use Tool | Options and open the Edit tab. Now uncheck the Fixed Decimals box. best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email "Galway" wrote in message ... hi, every time i try to enter say... 150 it returns with 0.015 and i have tried to format back to currency, or general or number and it keeps returning 0.015. i tried Toolstext To Columns and unclicked and it worked. do i have to do this everytime i open excel? please help! |
