Set 'target' for hyperlink
Hi,
I'm pretty new to Excel. I am using Excel as reporting tool from a web application - Excel is launched within the browser window. Briefly - the user enters some reporting criteria into a form. The submit function opens a new window and the CGI script writes out the code to open Excel component and format and populate the cells. The first column contains hyperlinks, set using standard HTML anchors. However the target="_blank" is not taking effect and the target webpage/document always opens in the same window. As the Excel sheet is being populated via a CGI/script the 'back' button on the browser doesn't take me back to the Excel sheet but to the page where the user sets their criteria. Is it possible to set the target an Excel cell so that the links open in a new window? TIA, Stuart |
