I wish to have the capability of pasting a set of numbers from another source
where the sign is located after the number (for e.g. 10- or 10.55- ) ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Your comment has an answer. You can use a Custom format for the cells.
Highlight the cells you want to paste to, select Format/Cells. On the Number tab click Custom. In the Type box, enter #,##0.00;#,##0.00- Then paste you data into your newly formatted cells. What is preventing you from doing that currently?
