Default Graphs

Hello,

I am trying to set up a graph that will display values for various
dates and in the graph source range dates are displayed in columns. At
the same time, the graph's series have to be in columns. I am trying to
add a new column to the table (for a new date) but Excel does not
incorporate the additional column of data into the chart. Does anyone
have a solution?

Thanks in advance!

When you use the chart wizard, you specify a range. You can specify multiple
ranges, or add columns to a range, by going back to that step in the wizard
and selecting what you want.

To select non-adjacent columns of data (multiple ranges) put a semicolon
between the two ranges in the dialog box.

Hi Antchi,

You could also try selecting your new column of data (including the column
heading if you are using it to identify your data series), copy it, click
back on your chart sheet and use the paste icon to paste it into the chart
(your right mouse button paste will not work in this instance).

Failing that, you can, from your chart menu, select source data and add
another range to your chart. How? Well, look at your data source range and
click after it. Type in a comma, then use your mouse to select the
additional column of data (such as:

=Sheet1!$D$2:$E$4,Sheet1!$D$13:$E$13

You can add more ranges by typing another column and selecting a new range.

Hope this helps.

Take care,

Karen.
